Saddleworth Alpacas is devoted to the care and breeding of alpacas and is able to help others who may be considering becoming involved with these wonderful creatures either purely for pleasure or as an alternative livestock.
If you have one or two acres or a large farm we can help you and through our associations find the animals you are looking for at a price you will find hard to beat.
If you are perhaps retired or taking it a little easier and you have a little land alpacas represent a delightful hobby or pastime with exceptional rewards. These animals raise your spirits simply by their presence.
They are so peaceful there normal sound is a hum! We should add a government health warning: BEWARE! Alpacas are addictive!
They are very easy to handle and care for but as with any livestock you must be able to devote time to their welfare. We are able to look at your current set-up and suggest minor adjustments that will make life easier for both you and your alpacas. Usually this is achieved at a very small cost.
You may, however, be an existing farmer looking for diversification or alternative livestock. Look no further - we can provide you with a business plan that will provide you with the best basis for profit in this growing market. We are also available to show prospective purchasers their animals and discuss aspects of ownership.
